To Do List / Notes

Filed under: Uncategorized — Hillridge @ 6:47 am

This is a place for me to keep track of what still needs done.  I hope it will help me remember to do things in the right order and not lose track of little ideas that pop up from time to time.

Notes from Stan’s visit:

Battery ground to the tub is missing

Ground terminal next to battery is gone, black ground wire is just loose

Throttle shaft bushes missing (Use Art Lipp’s replacements)

Heater return pipe has been hacked and bodged ( Stan has a replacement)

Replace all water and heater hoses. TRF has a nice kit with correctly shaped hoses:

Get a new bulkhead heater hose pass through connector too:

Get the floor sorted out and fix the windshield and the interior so that the car is drivable, fix the carb and ignition problems later.

Oil pressure is good, engine sounds fine, no horrid noises. Other than the floors and the two rear deck side pieces the body is in great shape.

To replace to the dash pad the windshield frame has to come off so that would also be a good time to replace the windshield glass and seals and locking strip and have a local shop install the glass while you have the frame off the car.

Allocate some time to pull the rear fenders off and fix the side pieces of the rear deck if possible.  Note - this may require some repainting.

Removing the rear fenders will give a better look at the rocker panel rears which have a habit of rotting out where the rear fender overlaps.

Future Projects:

Throttle shaft bearings
Heater hoses (including bulk head pass through and heater valve - look into aftermarket valve)
Rust repair on side pieces of deck
Rust repair on rockers
Rust repair on footwells
Rear suspension - particularly bushings
-Removal
-Installation

Windshield
Sound Deadening
